Trip to Oregon, Easter, and St. Patricks

Here are our St. Patrick’s decorations! We invited some people over for brunch on St. Patrick’s with green and gold pancakes, green juice, and other yummy things.19
Last week we were able to go and visit Grandma Bronte. We are so glad she is recovering well!

Here is Grandma and Daniel!
13
Nathan loved Grandma’s cane…who knew a sword would be in a recovery center?
16
Cousins Alex and Nathan! And Uncle Dave who is going to be deployed soon. Good luck! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Britney!
14
Daddy and Nathan hiking the beautiful, green woods of Oregon!

I was finally able to get a picture of Nathan and Daniel together—and Nathan smiled! Lucky day! Thanks for the matching outfits Grandma McReynolds!

Daniel is fascinated with the singing and dancing chick dressed up as a bunny. He has a very funny, serious stare that he regards it with. Thanks Grandma Bronte!

Here is Nathan showing the bunny to Daniel.

We had fun decorating Easter eggs at Grandma McReynolds’ house! Daddy helped Nathan dunk an egg in each mug. Nathan proceeded to try to smash a second egg into a couple of mugs before we could explain to him that it wouldn’t work…

Nathan understood hunting for the eggs much faster. He was a pro and he loved it!

When we arrived at my parent’s house, Nathan latched onto my little brother, Matthew’s Mack truck from the movie Cars. He carried it around almost the entire time. Luckily we didn’t have to hijack it because Grandma bought another one (and a Lightening McQueen!) for him for Easter!  Smile

Here we are with Grandma Barker! Thanks for the delicious fish dinner!

Here is the Easter egg hunt we put on for Nathan at home too. He received a Lightening McQueen blanket in the egg hunt too. When I held it up for Nathan to see, he got a huge grin, started screaming and dancing in a circle. Then, he pointed and exclaimed, “Cars! Eyes! Cars!” It was so cute. One of those moments we’ll remember forever as parents.

I also tried to capture a few of the everyday moments that we try to create. Here is Sean reading Nathan bedtime stories. Two of his favorites are This is the Way and Block City.
15
Nathan also LOVES brushing his teeth. He would do it for hours if we let him…

I also taught Nathan how to put olives on his fingers. He thought it was interesting.

Thanks for the wonderful trip to Oregon!
