This week Daniel had his first round of shots. We had to get them a bit late because he was so sick with the croup when he first turned two months. He had a much harder time with them than Nathan did. Nathan didn’t seem bothered by shots at all. Daniel got a fever and cried for the first two days out of misery. I felt so sorry for him. He is doing much better now though.
For our family date this week, we went to Café Rio for dinner and then we went to the library. We’ve discovered that Café Rio is an awesome deal for our family. Their entrees are big enough that Sean and I can split one and then we can get a free Niño quesadilla for each of the kids. So, for $7.50ish we can get GREAT food for all of us. At the library we picked up a whole bunch of books on bugs because we are doing a unit on bugs this week. I’m basically using bugs to try and familiarize Nathan with letters, numbers, colors, and so forth. It is a lot of fun to do "mommy school.”
Nathan has been having fun dressing up in our clothes lately. Here he has Daddy’s hat and the kitchen mitt. We were playing a chasing game, and I caught this lucky shot where he turned around with a great big smile.
For our date, Sean took me to Café Rio (can you tell we LOVE that place?) and then we were able to just talk. We haven’t had a date like that since Daniel was born and it was so nice.
