Wymount held a Safety Fair. They did an awesome job with it. They had all of the emergency vehicles there. They let the kids help the firefighter hold the hose while they turned it on. They gave the kids firefighter hats.
They had a little camper that they would take groups through. They showed them what smoke was, what a fire alarm was, and talked about match safety. Then, they set off the fire alarm and had the kids practice climbing down the ladder.
The highlight was definitely when they had the life flight helicopter visit. Here we are all waiting for it to arrive.
Here it comes!
They talked to the kids for a minute about what they do.
Then, they let them take turns climbing inside for a minute.
Dan’s favorite chore is mopping. He loves to help with it! And yes, he is a walker now.
Here we are doing a science experiment. Nathan is dropping colored vinegar onto baking soda. It fizzles and bubbles. He loves it.
We also had a chance to go to the Thanksgiving Point Children’s Gardens. The kids had a blast.
Here are more splash pads! The kids can’t get enough…
We also went to the Thanksgiving Point Farm during the summer. It is basically a petting zoo.
Nathan said “hi” to all of the animals.
This horse said “hi” back! Nathan loved it.
The peacocks were really pretty. Dan just stared the whole time. I think it is the first time that he really saw animals.
Of course, the rooster showed off for us, strutting and crowing.
Sean took us on a bar-b-que in Provo Canyon. It was a beautiful day and Sean did a wonderful job cooking. It was absolutely delicious.
Here is the chef!
Bedtime stories with Daddy!
First trip to McDonalds!
Nathan’s Halloween costume! I took him to the store and showed him Buzz Lightyear, a cowboy, a dragon, a firefighter, etc. He kept saying “No, put it back," until he saw this one. Then, he said “Mine, I want it, give it to me.” He wore it everyday for two weeks until Halloween. We have a true defender of Kermanlandia.
Helping Mommy make applesauce!
Just having fun at the playground.
We went to Jaker’s to pick up pumpkins this year. They have a fun little set up. Nathan love the tractor and the hay ride. Dan looked terrified, but didn’t cry, the whole time we were on the hay ride. It was really funny.
Here is the GIANT pig that they have.
The kids like the corn kernal pit the most though, I think. They also had hay mazes and slides.
